曾经作为座右铭的这句话，我一直以为是李开复博士的原创。今天终于得知，其实来源是Reinhold Niebuhr（雷茵霍尔德·尼布尔）。
Reinhold Niebuhr（1892 – 1971 。二十世纪美国最著名的神学家、思想家，是新正统派神学的代表，是基督教现实主义的奠基人。）在他那著名的“The Serenity Prayer”里说的话：
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
愿上帝赐予我从容去接受我不能改变的；赐予我勇气去改变我能够改变的，并赐予我智慧去分辨这之间的区别。
